NewForrest Fingerfood officialy opens new Innovation Center

On Tuesday the 28th of September 2021, our new Innovation Center has been officially opened by the mayor of Wijk bij Duurstede –  Mrs Iris Meerts.

NewForrest Fingerfood realised – next to its current plant location – an Innovation Center based at the Watermolenweg 3 at Wijk bij Duurstede. This has been accomplished (in cooperation with the Head of our R&D department – Mr. Ton van Ekeren). We are now the proud owner of a new Research & Development kitchen, furnished with a complete range of the lastest kitchen appliances. With this equipment we are able to apply a diverse range of application uses.

These premises have been complemented by several modern gathering spaces, equipped with the latest technology, enabling us to conduct our online meetings flawlessly. However, we consider these spaces mainly as a venue where we are able to meet our clients again in person.

Furthermore, we developed a state-of-the-art ‘pilot plant’. In this pilot plant – or ‘testing facility’, our product developers are able to execute trial production batches, in order to check the feasibility of products on a small scale.This has enhanced our innovative competence.
